My Story
Early 2010 I was asked to attend a Scentsy party by my hair stylist. I have never heard of Scentsy and I thought it was just another candle party. I declined the invitation because candles were not my thing. Days later I visited my hair stylist for my appointment and she still had her Scentsy party still open. She had a plug-in warmer going with an awesome fragrance filling her styling station. While she was doing my hair, I sat in the chair and smelled all 80+ different fragrances and it sparked my interest. I went home that night and ordered a Scentsy System. When I received my System I knew instantly that I wanted to have a party.
Days later I had my party scheduled and it was a success! Over a $1,000 party! I saw how easy it was to sell this stuff. I joined the Scentsy Family in May 2010 as an Independent Scentsy Consultant for fun. I have never been in the Direct Selling business before and not knowing what I was getting myself into, I was a little nervous. I had the same excuses as I often hear today; "I don't know anyone", "No one will buy from me", "I'm too busy", etc. But being a wife, mother of two teenage girls and working fulltime, I felt like I was missing something. I needed something to call my own and to be successful at it.
My family and friends were very surprised that I would go into Direct Sales because of my introverted personality. But I was determined to make this work. And I did make it work. In less than 4 years I reached Star Director rank, qualified for four all-expense paid vacation (Punta Cana, Costa Rica, St. Louis and a 7-day Carribean Cruise), also qualified for free registration to the Family Reunion (Indy) and Leadership (5-day cruise to Mexico), earned the Annual Sales Award and I have a group of 237 awesome consultants in 16 different states. Scentsy has changed my life in a lot of ways. In 2017 I reached a huge milestone of having a Personal Retail Volume (PRV) of 150,000!! What is PRV? The value of all commissionable products sold to a Scentsy Consultant or their customers. A HUGE thank you to my loyal customers!!
Scentsy Family has changed my life in a lot of ways. I have made a lot of new friends, gained confidence in myself, and enjoyed the financial aspects of the business.
